Rod Silveira BS, MS, PT

Rod is the co-founder and co-director of Neurosport Rehabilitation Associates and Professional Home Care Associates. He received his under graduate and graduate education at California State University, Hayward 1978,1984. He graduated from Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, School of Physical Therapy in 1982. He has practiced the Art and Science of Physical Therapy of over 28 years as well as a variety of treatments and approaches with a particular interest in the spine and sports related injuries. Mr Silveira has taken over 100 continuing education courses since graduation. The instructors that have influenced his approach to treatment are as follows: Phillip E Greenman,D.O., F.A.A.O., John F Bourdillon, M.D., Stanley V Paris, P.T., Ph.D., Fred Mitchell, Jr., D.O., F.A.A.O., Olaf Evjenhth, M.S., Robin McKenze CNZM, FNZSP, John McM. Mr Silveira is actively involved in community service as a Member of the Board of Directors Ohlone College Physical Therapists Assistant Program, Trustee of the Washington Hospital Foundation and Sport Medicine Consultant to the Mission Valley Athletic League. A position he has held for 27 years.

Rod’s philosophy for treating patients is that it should be based on a thorough bio-mechanical/neurophysiological evaluation. The results of the evaluation are correlated with a knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neuroanatomy and exercise physiology to achieve the best results possible.
